Now, I like to look at what people are doing for marketing.
And I like to figure out what’s really happening, the
strategies and tactics they are using, and I get this
tickling feeling when they are doing something brilliant.
Well, when you look at a new website, or a new promo
campaign, while on the front, it looks all nice and heart-
warming, as a profit-making, there’ll always some additional
motives to the project.
Let’s take a look at Russell’s Contest project…
When you arrive at the website, the first thing you’ll see
is a video of Russell explaining that the website is all
about.
Russell explains the three reasons…
1 - he wants to help his students make $100,000,000.
2 - he wants to give a brand new Corvette to his contest
winners
3 - he wants to raise $50,000 for World Teacher Aid, a
charity organization that helps kids around the world

OK, not bad… at this point, you feel that you have a
chance be those who’ll be making $100,000,000 (if, if you
only make 0.1% out that, that’s already $100,000.
And then, you feel that you have nothing to lose. You don’t
have to spend anything to enroll in the contest. You could
be winning a new Corvette.
And lastly, the kids. Why not just help out for the kids and
let them get better education.
Me… yep, I joined.
And then inside, there’s another video. Russell explains
that you can get one of his best books (yep, a read book)
for free. He doesn’t want your money, but he does want you
to donate to the World Teacher Aid. Any amount will do, even
if it is $1.

This time, Russell said I can have all three books for free.
But this time, there’s a catch. But this is a good strategy.
I learned about this strategy recently. What he want you to
do is test-drive his printed newsletter and monthly DVD
program. After the trial period, you can just cancel if you
feel it’s not for you.
I think it was $49.95 a month if you want to continue with
the program. Now, because I want to check out what’s in the
the newsletter (oh yeah, you get three newsletter for your
trial), I opted for this one too…
Next, another video…
This time it’s about the $100,000,000 Challenge. It turns
out that those who’d be making the $100,000,000 are people
who will be at his seminar. He’s going to help his seminar
attendees (also his students) make $100,000,000.
And you can be a student for $997 instead of the full price
of $1997 — a $1000 discount.
This one, I did not opt for… I am like halfway around the
world. Travel, accomodation and food is going to cost me a
lot more than that…
But anyway, if you fee you’d like to take it up, that is
entirely up to you…
Finally, Russell lets you in the membership area. And there
are more in there too. Russell has a few activities for you
to do, like he has a contest for those who create the best
video about what you’ve learned. The winner gets a 42-inch
plasma TV… and there are more… just too many to list out
here right now.
OK, right now… what have I learned…
The first thing that comes to mind is the videos. I think
the videos were great. Being in Malaysia, I don’t have the
fastest internet connection. Back when I was watching videos
from Traffic Fusion, StomperNet, Mass Control, it would take
hours for the videos to load. Sometimes I just don’t watch
them at all…
But Russell’s videos, they are top-notch. The videos hardly
pause to buffer. I click the Play button and watch them all
the way through. I think partly, it has to be because of how
short and nice the videos are. Russell was charasmatic,
clear and he went straight to the point. This is not some
30-minute video but you still get a clear picture of what he
is offering and what he wants you to do…
And by the way, the videos are hosted at one of the best
media hosting facility — Amazon S3.
After going through all these, you see that Russell’s
intentions, apart from raising money for charity, is also to
make money for himself — and there’s nothing wrong with
that. You can’t help others if you don’t help yourself
first, right?
And why not make money and make some for others at the same
time…
The real money for Russell is in his monthly printed
newsletter. He wants people to get into his continuity
program. But people don’t really want to be billed again and
again, month after month… So instead of promoting his
newsletter directly, he promotes his three printed books.
You can get all three books for free for test-driving my
printed newsletter.
If you are in the States, I heard about Sports Illustrated
where they don’t promote their magazine, but rather promote
their football phone, or the swimsuit edition… ;)
So this is something similar.
Now you can take this home when you are promoting your own
membership site, or your continuity program. Create a
product that is worth $500 and give them away for free
for… TEST-DRIVING YOUR MEMBERSHIP SITE…
Brilliant? I think so…
And another thing is, Russell is putting efforts to fill up
the seats in his seminar. Remember the $100,000,000

Douglas Goodey, became a multi-millionaire by the time he was 60 years old.
When he reached retirement age of 65, economic changes left him penniless, with $4.5 Million debts, and facing Bankruptcy.
Between ages 65 - 75, he went on to not only clear that debt, but also to make in excess of $20 Million

Before anything, I am not promoting HyperJava or TrafficFusion here. And as you read this article, you will first have this feeling like I am promoting it. But later down, I will let you know about some flaws in the Mike Filsaime’s plan… and how you can benefit from it.
I can’t deny the marketing genius in this guy’s head. He keep coming up with great marketing ideas. And the latest one, his HyperJava and Traffic Fusion. If you don’t know about this, you must be living under a rock or something. Mike released a few videos on his latest venture and it’s coming out this September 16th.
How HyperJava Works…
I watched the videos and roughly understand what Mike’s software can do. It’s a great idea. It allows you to generate sales without using Adwords and without a mailing list. All that you need is a product that you are already selling.
It’s great isn’t it?
But how does it work?
It’s like this. Instead of going around paying for traffic, what you do is find JV partners who are willing to put up your ads in their thank you page. Finding JV partners is the hard part though. But instead of selling your product at full price, you are offering your JV partners’ customers a discount. Yep, it’ll make your JV partners look good.
I’ve done something like that. Not as thank you page ad though, but as a real JV promo.
But anyway, let say you are selling your product at $47. Now you contact JV partners and offer them to promote your product for $27. All that they need to do is put up a 1-line of code on their thank you page. And from that $27, you still give your JV partners a commission, maybe $10, and you keep the rest.
I know, finding the JV partners is the hard part. But HyperJava takes care of the rest. It takes care of putting up the ad (your JV partner only need to insert a one-line code), it takes care of the affiliate commission, it takes care of everything else. And for you, with HyperJava you will have a centralized command center to monitor all these thank you page ad activity.
Everyday you go out and find new JV partners. And then you login into your HyperJava and IDs for these JV partners… and you are all set.
This is brilliant. I know I have thought of something like this in the past, or at least similarly like this. But I never really pursued the idea. Not about building the software. About thank you page ads and discounted version of your product as a marketing technique.
But now that Mike’s told the world about this, it brings up old memories.
How Mike Filsaime Plans To Make Money With His HyperJava…
Before I get more into this ramblings, let me tell about the ways Mike can make money with his HyperJava and TrafficFusion. And I bet he will use either one or more of these…
Now, please be informed that this is my speculation. What I am saying here that with his business model, he CAN, not he will make money this way…
1 - He can charge you a monthly fee for using his software
2 - He can put up his own ads in your JV partner’s thank you page, rotated with yours. Maybe a 1:2, 1:5, 1:9 ratio… who knows.
3 - If he does implement a rotating ratio, instead of putting up his own ads, he can sell that exposure to other advertisers.
4 - He can ask for a commission on your sales too
So there you go. I don’t know how much this is going to cost, or how he will really make money with his HyperJava. But with his connections and his influence, it’s sure is going to be an Inbox storm on 16 September.
Heck, I heard that a lot of other marketers moved their launch because they don’t want to compete for attention with Mike Filsaime.
Alright, having a programmer-marketer mind that I do, all these videos, emails made me thinking. Can’t you implement this yourself, without HyperJava?
Can You Make Your Own HyperJava?
I believe you can. You know what it is supposed to do, right? And I am sure that a lot of other programmers and marketers out there will be thinking the same thing. Remember InstantAttention.com? If I am not mistaken, they were the first to release a software that creates graphical-floating ads with PNG graphics. Instant Attention was selling it with the hosted solution, making you pay monthly or annual fees. But then came all the other copycats… the software version, the script version, the free version… I jumped in as well with my WOWPupUp.com which give away the script for free… And even Gary Ambrose has his ImpactPopUp.
And then remember Mike Filsaime’s Butterfly Marketing Software? And then there’s Launch Formula Marketing, Easy Members Pro, etc… etc…
Mike Filsaime Is Creating Waves… You?
Some guys will create waves, and some will ride them… riding waves is easier, but you don’t make as much as making them yourself.
Sounds like I about to jump into HyperJava craziness as well… Well, I don’t know yet…
But even with all those, just like InstantAttention, HyperJava will probably be the favorite. Unlike the other solutions, none will be well-developed as HyperJava. The rest are just trying to catch and ride the wave remember, while HyperJava is the wave. I am sure the biggest selling points of HyperJava as oppose to their future competitors is ease-of-use.
So far things look pretty solid to me. It’s easy to use, well-developed and almost turnkey. You can get started right away. As the rest, they will be selling on cheaper prices.
But as for me. Most of the times the software don’t impress me. I know it’s something that I can do myself. May take a little time to get it done, and may not be as shiny as HyperJava, but I know I can do it myself. But the idea, the genius, the execution of marketing… all those impressed me like a kid in a toy store.
How You Can Make Money With HyperJava, Without Getting It…
At the very least, we all have to thank Mike Filsaime for sharing this strategies and releasing his videos. Because whether you get his HyperJava or not, Mike just revealed a powerful money making strategy. And there are many ways you can make money with this knowledge, even without getting HyperJava…
[+] You can implement your “own” HyperJava on your products
[+] You create and sell “your” HyperJava to other marketers
[+] You can find JV partners for other people’s products
[+] You can create marketplace for products owners for HyperJava
[+] You can create marketplace for JV partners for HyperJava
But anyway… if you want to catch on THIS wave, you still can and build yourself a good list and make some money. :) How? That’s up to you… I am sure some people out there are preparing to release their version of HyperJava… it could be another hosted solution, a desktop software, a script, or even a free solution… just watch.
